Each cut signature or signed White House card is tipped to album leaf beneath Bureau of Engraving portrait, all in Fine condition. Entitled <i>Presidents Of The United States—Portraits and Original Signatures</i>, the boldly penned signatures are arranged on separate beige album leaves of heavy bond in order of their presidency. Washington’s signature, “<i>G: Washington</i>,” is largely penned above that of </span><b><span style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:windowtext; text-transform:uppercase'>Edmond Randolph</span></b><span style='font-size: 12.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:windowtext'> (1753-1813) his attorney general and secretary of state, who adds “<i>By the President.</i>” His signature rests on a crease and is a little uneven. </span><b><span style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:windowtext;text-transform:uppercase'>Andrew Jackson</span></b><span style='font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Arial;color:windowtext'> and </span><b><span style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family: Arial;color:windowtext;text-transform:uppercase'>Millard Fillmore</span></b><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Arial; color:windowtext'> add “<i>Free</i>.” </span><b><span style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family: Arial;color:windowtext;text-transform:uppercase'>William Henry Harrison</span></b><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Arial; color:windowtext'> pens “<i>W. H. Harrison</i>” beneath closing “<i>I am with great Respect yr. Hum Srvt</i>...” Presidents Polk, Taylor and Pierce sign beneath holograph closings. Buchanan’s is dated Jun 25, 1860, in the closing months of his administration. </span><b><span style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:windowtext; text-transform:uppercase'>R. B. Hayes</span></b><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:windowtext'> boldly signs beneath holograph closing and above his home in “<i>Fremont, O. 23 April 1885</i>.” Beginning with Cleveland, all but Taft, Wilson and Roosevelt sign White House cards. Taft signs beneath closing above “<i>Feby 15th 1915, New Haven</i>.” Leather cover evidences light wear and soiling, and occasional scuffing, especially at spine. This unique archive is a proud addition to any presidential collection.</span></p>
