McNary</font></b> and <b><font size=-1>Hiram Johnson</font></b> plus Senators <b><font size=-1>John Thomas</font></b>;<b><font size=-1> H.D. Hatfield</font></b>;<b><font size=-1> Arthur Capper</font></b>;<b><font size=-1> Tasker L. Oddie</font></b>; <b><font size=-1>W</font></b>[esley] <b><font size=-1>Jones</font></b>; and <b><font size=-1>Frederick Steiwer</font></b>. Ink transfer and several folds; edge nicks and tears with minimal paper loss. Also present is a 3"x5" card signed by <b><font size=-1>Estes Kefauver</font></b>, a VP candidate; TLS by <b><font size=-1>Hubert H. Humphrey</font></b>, 1p, May 12, 1960. On his personal Senate letterhead with routine content. Letter evidences show through of mounting stain on verso; two diagonal wrinkles; and is trimmed at bottom margin. Also a TMsS by <b><font size=-1>Eugene McCarthy</font></b>, 2½pp, 4to, n.d. Entitled “Why I Want the Job,” a transcript from <i>Look</i> by the presidential candidate. Also a 1971 Jefferson-Jackson Day dinner program sponsored by the Northern Virginia Democratic Committee signed by featured speaker Senator <b><font size=-1>Ed Muskie</font></b>, a former VP candidate and Secretary of State. Lastly, a partly printed, unengrossed Congressional subpoena signed by <b><font size=-1>Robert M. LaFollette</font></b>, Progressive Party presidential nominee. All boldly signed. Generally VG with noted exceptions.
