VANDEGRIFT (1887-1973) Marine Corps general, led the 1st Marines at Tulagi, Guadalcanal, and Bougainville, later Commandant; T.L.S. 1p. 4to., DelRay Beach, 1968 promising to sign a photo; LOUIS DENFIELD (1891-1972) Admiral who led Battleship Division 9; signature adding rank as Chief of Naval Operations; and WILLIAM H.
