AMBROTYPE OF LOUISVILLE AND THE FALLS OF OHIO. Anonymous, sixth plate ambrotype of a painting the shoreline of the Ohio River at Louisville, Kentucky, just above the entrance to lock at Shippingport Island. Several steamers, including the Jacob Strader are shown at the shore. The Strader was built in Cincinnati in 1853 and ran the Cinti-Louisville route. Where is this painting today?
