ALMORAVID: Tashfin Ibn 'Ali Ibn Yusuf (1142-1145), gold dinar (4.20g), Aghmat mint, AH 538. Without heir. Die-shift on obverse, otherwise extremely fine to about uncirculated. Rare.
After being besieged by the Almohad forces in Wahran, the short-lived Tashfin Ibn 'Ali managed to escape and while on his route to the port in hopes of escaping through sea, darkness blanketed his vision and he fell off a cliff and died in March of 1145.
