"Alex.r McDougall", 2pp. oblong 8vo., New York, Mar. 13, 1776, his signed receipt of 111 pounds from Peter Van Brugh Livingston as reimbursement from the New York Provincial Congress for sums disbursed by McDougall, including advances to messengers, transport, sloop hire, etc. on behalf of the colony. Signed by McDougall on verso, also signed by New York Provincial Congress Secretary John McKesson. Light toning and edge wear, else very good. $600-800
