"Kesselring Field Marshal General, ret.", 1p. 8vo., Bad Wiessee, June 29, 1954, in German to Alan Abrams. In part: "...I do not know whether these lines with the enclosed photo will reach you as your family name and home town are written very unclearly. Despite that, I want to send the photograph. I send you my warmest thanks for your good opinion on my book...". With holograph transmittal envelope and a good copy of Kesselring's memoirs Kesselring, A Soldier's Record. Parlty-printed D.S. as General of Flyers, 3pp. small folio, Berlin, Apr. 31, 1938, a lenghty promotion for one Rudolf Schoenert as a Lieutenant in the Luftwaffe with numerous annotations in various hands. Two file holes at left margin, paperclip stain at top, usual folds, otherwise very good. Together with MAXWELL D. TAYLOR (1901 - 1987), his signature on an envelope.
