Technique: Original Hand Signed and Inscribed Etching on verge de Montval paper.

Additional Information: This etching is hand signed by the artist "Albert Gleize" in the lower right margin.
It is also hand inscribed "Epreuve d'Artiste" (Artist Proof) in the lower left.
This etching was part of a series illustrating the book "Les Pensees" par Blaise Pascal.
However this is a rare and possibily unique hand signed proof that was probably printed aside the book edition as the echings in the book edition were not signed.

Condition: Good Condition. Some discolouration in the margins. One stain in the margins as well as pencil inscription. A blue ink stain a the lower right hand corner.

Note: Blaise Pascal was a French mathematician, physicist, inventor, writer and Catholic philosopher. Pascal's most influential theological work is Pensees where he depicts the relationships between God and Man. Pascal's Pensées is widely considered to be a masterpiece, and a landmark in French prose.
