<B>AGATE "PORTA JOIA" JEWEL BOX</B></I><BR> <I>Serra Geral Formation, Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, South Region, Brazil</B></I><BR>This delightful, natural jewel box is an agate geode, which has been sawn open, to reveal the wonderful druzy quartz interior. All over the interior, micro-crystalline quartz crystals have been deposited on the agate - creating a brilliant burst of reflections when exposed to the light. Unfortunately, quality "porta joias", such as this are becoming scarce, as the mines are being exhausted.
