<BR>On behalf of Texas Traders, Austin Auction Company presents a huge advertising sign auction with more than 500 signs within 341 lots. Texas Traders, a 20 year old Austin, Texas company, has supplied props to more than 40 movies including, “Texas Chain Saw Massacre”, “Lonesome Dove”, “Newton Boys”, and others. This auction represents the liquidation of only a small part of their huge inventory. Other auctions are planned. The owner, Mr. Moody Anderson, is also the owner of a multi-building museum in The Grove, Texas. This museum is a replica of several stores as they
were, completely stocked, in the 1890’s to the 1940’s.
<BR> This advertising sign auction includes beer, cola, general
advertising signs and gas station advertising, with some pieces used as movie props. We will supply a certificate which each piece we identify as a movie prop. This certificate, signed by Mr. Anderson, will identify the movie that the sign/prop was leased to.
