This is a U.S. promotional-only 7-inch single of AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie,” issued by Atlantic Records in 1978 under catalog number 3553. The record was distributed to radio stations as a promo copy and features the same track on both sides in stereo. “Whole Lotta Rosie,” written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Bon Scott, originally appeared on the band’s 1977 album Let There Be Rock and later on the live album If You Want Blood You’ve Got It. Produced by Harry Vanda and George Young, the track became one of AC/DC’s signature live staples and was the band’s first single to chart in the UK, reaching No. 36 in 1978. This promotional pressing, clearly marked “Promotion Copy – Not For Sale,” was intended to boost airplay and exposure for the track in the U.S. market.
