This is a promotional-only 7-inch single of AC/DC’s “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ’n’ Roll),” released by ATCO Records in 1976 under catalog number 45-7068. The record was distributed to radio stations and is marked “Promotion Copy – Not For Sale.” It features the track in mono on one side and stereo on the other, a standard format for DJ use at the time. Written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Bon Scott, the song first appeared on the band’s international debut album High Voltage and became one of their defining anthems, notable for Bon Scott’s use of bagpipes alongside the hard rock instrumentation. Produced by Harry Vanda and George Young, this single served as part of AC/DC’s early promotional push, helping establish their presence outside of Australia.
