a rare Spanish promotional-only 7-inch single by AC/DC, released in 1979 on Atlantic / Hispavox under catalog number CP-334. Side A features “Highway to Hell” (listed in Spanish as Autopista al Infierno), while Side B includes “Night Prowler” (Ladrón Nocturno). Both tracks are taken from the band’s landmark Highway to Hell album, produced by Robert John “Mutt” Lange.
This promotional pressing comes housed in a “Promoción Hispavox” company sleeve and is marked “Disco Promocional – Prohibida su venta,” confirming it was not intended for commercial sale. Uniquely, this copy is accompanied by its original Spanish language press sheet, which provides background on AC/DC, the Highway to Hell album, and the band’s lineup at the time featuring Bon Scott on vocals. The press sheet is dated November 1979 and was distributed to media outlets to support the band’s promotion in Spain.
This combination of the promo single and original Hispavox press information makes it a particularly scarce and desirable piece for serious AC/DC collectors.
