An original U.S. pressing of AC/DC’s High Voltage, released on ATCO Records in 1976 under catalog number SD 36-142. This album marked the band’s U.S. debut and was a compilation created for the American market, drawing from tracks on the Australian albums High Voltage (1975) and T.N.T. (1975). The LP features classic tracks including “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll),” “T.N.T.,” “The Jack,” and “High Voltage,” introducing U.S. audiences to Bon Scott’s raw vocals and the powerhouse guitar work of Angus and Malcolm Young. The record includes the iconic cover art with Angus Young in his schoolboy outfit being struck by a lightning bolt, an image that became one of the band’s most recognized visuals. Produced by Harry Vanda and George Young for Albert Productions, High Voltage is a cornerstone release that laid the foundation for AC/DC’s international breakthrough. This pressing is on the yellow ATCO label with the multicolor logo at the top, consistent with mid-1970s issues.
