A promotional-only copy of AC/DC’s High Voltage, issued in 1976 on Atco Records under catalog number SD 36-142. This U.S. release marked the band’s first internationally distributed album, compiled from tracks originally featured on their early Australian records High Voltage and T.N.T.. The promotional edition is identified by the large white timing strip sticker on the front cover, designating it as “Promotional Copy – Not For Sale.” The album features some of AC/DC’s most enduring songs, including “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ’n’ Roll),” “T.N.T.,” “Live Wire,” and the title track “High Voltage.” Produced by Vanda & Young for Albert Productions, this release introduced the raw power of Bon Scott-era AC/DC to a global audience and set the stage for their future success. This copy also includes the unique promotional-only inner sleeve, styled like a black-and-white composition notebook with Atlantic/Atco branding, which accompanied select promo issues. A rare and historically significant piece for any AC/DC or hard rock vinyl collection.
