Presented here is a scarce Italian promotional 7-inch single featuring AC/DC’s “Evil Walks” backed with Donald Byrd and 125th Street N.Y.C.’s “Love Has Come Around.” Issued in 1981, this disc was produced for jukebox and radio use only, as indicated by the Italian text “Ediz. Speciale Per Juke Box – Vietata La Vendita.” Side A contains AC/DC’s “Evil Walks” (from the 1981 album For Those About to Rock We Salute You), written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Brian Johnson and produced by Robert John “Mutt” Lange. Side B features Donald Byrd’s “Love Has Come Around,” produced by Isaac Hayes. Distributed in Italy under the S.I.A.E. copyright system, this unusual split-label promotional release is a highly collectible item that pairs two very different artists on one disc, making it a unique artifact from Atlantic/Elektra’s early 1980s promotional campaigns.
