This one-page "File Copy" Inter-Office Memo, dated February 21, 1980, was issued by Perry Cooper and preserved for the Atlantic Records archive. Addressed to "All Concerned," the memo informs staff of the death of AC/DC lead singer and lyricist Bon Scott on February 19, 1980. It conveys instructions from the band’s management company, Leber-Krebs, that all condolence cards and letters be sent to manager Peter Mensch at his London address, and that any requests for a telephone number be directed to Leber-Krebs in New York. The memo also provides updated U.S. contact information for Peter and AC/DC through Cliff Bernstein, and reminds staff that Perry Cooper is the product manager for the band.
