An original U.S. pressing of AC/DC’s ’74 Jailbreak, released in 1984 by Atlantic Records under catalog number 7 80178-1. This five-track compilation LP features songs originally recorded in 1974 and 1976 that were previously unavailable outside of Australia, including fan favorites “Jailbreak,” “Soul Stripper,” “You Ain’t Got a Hold on Me,” “Show Business,” and “Baby, Please Don’t Go.” Issued on the classic green and orange Atlantic label, this edition includes the red inner sleeve featuring lyrics on one side and a photo of Angus Young and Bon Scott on the reverse. Produced by Vanda & Young for Albert Productions, this U.S. release was part of Atlantic’s effort to introduce AC/DC’s early catalog to the American market following the band’s massive success in the late 1970s and early 1980s. A key collectible for any AC/DC fan, this pressing captures the raw energy and blues-infused hard rock that defined the band’s formative years.
