Herndon, approx, 7½”x1¼”, [IL], n.d. Conclusion of legal document on blue paper boldly penned in his holograph and signed “<i>Lincoln & Herndon, pa.</i>” Containing over 50 words, Lincoln writes, “<i>And for further plea in their behalf, said defendants say <u>actio non</u>, because they say the said Thomas Lewis at the time he assumed to assign said note had not full power and authority, to make said assignment; & of this the defendants put themselves upon the County &c</i>...” Fine. Handsomely double matted beside quarter-length lithograph portrait and contained under glass within attractive frame. Overall 24¼”x14½”. Very nice.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
