Burr,” a check drawn on the Manhattan Company, NY, Mar 28, 1800. Payable to James Miles in the amount of $194. Boldly signed. Slit cancellation barely touching signature of no affect; ink cancellation well away from signature; o/w VG/Fine. Attractive. After being defeated through the efforts of Alexander Hamilton, Burr later killed the first US secretary of treasury in a duel. His reputation further unraveled following his alleged —though unproved—treasonous activity in the “Burr Conspiracy.”</span></p>

Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
