A tall mahogany longcase clock with swan neck pediment above an arched glass panelled door enclosing the silvered dial inscribed Elkington, fitted gilt arabic numerals, surrounded by richly decorated gilt metal fretwork and acanthus scrolls, fitted chimes silent and chime selector dial to the arch with subsidiary seconds dial, the eight day movement striking on eight tubular gongs, the trunk with oval bevelled glazed panelled door, raised on a plinth base, 20in. x 93in. high.
