2 Medium/Large 19th C. assorted technique cobalt blue examples. Here are two lovely examples of enamel buttons from the late 19th century. Karen Cohen of Pennsylvania has just released her new book on enamel buttons earlier this year so be sure and obtain a copy so you can see buttons like this and many other techniques she explains in her book. This lot includes a colorful polychrome figural example along with a nice En Grisaille floral with a pierced gilded brass flower head border. Both are done on a striking cobalt blue background.
