2 Large 19th C. Matte polychrome enamel and steel examples. Here are two detailed and colorful MATTE finish enamels with brilliant cut steel borders, The figures and scene are beautifully executed in brilliant colors and all the enamel is intact. ONE NOTE. To the naked eye one does not see the lines one sees in the pictures. I am told by two enamel experts that in the brazing process to create the matt e finish technique on these the clear coat enamels, that the diring process developed thesesmall cracks, but again very hard to see by the naked eye. Matte enamels like this and in this size are quite uncommon.
