A set of twelve George III Chippendale style mahogany dining chairs comprising two carver arm and ten single chairs, each single chair having an arched top rail set on shaped stiles with interlacing pierced vase shaped splat back with drop in seat upholstered in leather cloth with straight front rail and standing on simple tapered legs of square section united by stretchers (one of the armchairs has a large section of the back missing including the top rail, half of one stile and the centre splat and various other chairs have stretchers and sections of the pierced splat backs missing), (see illustration).
