A scarce division one oval crystal button
A hard to find small 18th century Stuart Crystal button shape. The square version of this Stuart Crystal from the 18th century is found quite often but you rarely see this oval example. Set in silver these rock crystal buttons are from the late 17th to early 18th century and are over gold wire work and a light pinkish foil in this case. This button has a lot going for it as its crystal, set in metal, oval shape, 18th century, small size (hard to find in this era). There are some scratches on the surface of the crystal which is common to these buttons, but all in all in good condition and as said a rare shape.
