A rare Pinxton porcelain tea service, circa 1795, of oval form, sparsely enamelled and gilt with floral sprigged sprays between gilt outline to the rim and footrim, comprising a boat shaped teapot and cover with gilt knop, an oval sugar bowl and cover with gilt ring handles and knop, an oval shaped milk jug, six bute shaped cups and saucers and a bread plate, the teapot cover marked P46 in gilt, the sugar bowl cover similarly marked N46, four cups and two saucers marked 46 in gilt and bread plate similarly marked, slight crack to base of teapot handle, slight wear to gilding, height of teapot 14.5cm, 5 4/5 inches.
