A mid 19th Century percussion greatcoat pistol, octagonal smoothbored barrel with full bottom steel rib incorporating a steel swivel captive ramrod, all steel box lock action with side mounted percussion hammer, the side plates and trigger guard are fully foliage engraved, walnut bag shaped pistol grip which is fully chequered with a square silver escutcheons, the steel filate engraved butt plate with a hinged patch box, pitting to rib, overall length 28cm 11 inches £120-180
