A mid 18th Century oak 8 day Longcase Clock, John Anthony of Maidenhead, the square hood with overhanging cornice to gilt mounted three quarter columns over a long trunk door and plinth base, the 12" silvered dial with floral engraved spandrels and Roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing sunk subsidiary seconds and date sector and pierced scrolling hands with strike silent lever at twelve, the movement with five knopped pillars, anchor escapement and strike on a bell, height 84"
