A late Victorian/Edwardian rosewood and inlaid 'Westminster' chiming table clock, the eight day three-train movement with anchor escapement, each train with fusee, striking the hour and chiming the quarters on five gongs or chiming on eight bells, the gently arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute divisions, within scrolling foliate spandrels and beneath three subsidiary dials for 'chime/silent', 'slow/fast' running and 'Westinster chimes/chime on eight bells', the rosewood case inlaid with classical urns and scrolling foliage, with a pair of gilt-metal Corinthian columns, the arched pediment surmounted with gilt-metal finials, the dial with retailers plaque for R.H. Halford & Sons, 43 Fenchurch St. London, 55cm high
