A late 19th century aesthetic movement display cabinet in two sections, the top half having a vase and cover finial between the swans neck pediment with incised gilt floral decoration and turned finial to each corner in turn above a moulded cornice and amboyna wood panel with arch beneath supported by turned pillars and with a series of bevelled mirrors, galleried shelves and incised scrolling decoration below, the lower section having a moulded edge above three short shallow amboyna wood veneered panels, the centre panel above a pierced fretwork apron with galleried shelves below flanked on either side by a cupboard door incised with swags, ribbons and bellflower ornament and all raised on short turned feet. Height 89ins., width 54ins., depth 15ins. (see illustration)
