A late 19th century Swiss musical box, stamped GB&Co on the stop-play lever plate, the 33cm long cylinder playing twelve airs on a single length of comb with celeste, numbered 5438 on the winding handle and on the movement, the rosewood lid marquetried with musical trophies, 58cm wide * The maker could be either George Bendon or George Baker, but both usually declare themselves on the airs labelling £600-800
