A large George III Scottish mahogany serpentine sideboard, with boxwood stringing and cockbeading, and rosewood crossbanding, the serpentine stage back centred by fan paterae and raised on corresponding top above a pair of frieze drawers flanked by false fronted deep drawers, on square section tapering legs with dot inlay and collars (two cut and re-applied) 261cm wide, 114cm high, 95cm deep £4,000-6,000 Provenance: Made for the Earls of Cromartie for Tarbat House, Ross-shire, thence by descent.
