A large Etruscan Bucchero olpe, Italic, c. 630 - 600 BC, the ovoid body with low disc foot, ridge at base of neck, widely flared mouth and wide arched handle. The vessel is nicely burnished with glossy black surfaces and decorated with incised fan devices and triangles around the bottom of the body. A very attractive vessel with much eye appeal. H: 9 3/4 in (24.7cm). Ex South German private collection of an artist and art collector, purchased between 1960 to 1980.
