This outfit has been in a trunk in barn with other artifacts for almost 40 years, included... tack Remington pistol, horse head knife, leather tack holster, knife sheath and tack belt. Signed BJ Colter Pony Montana. The letter on lower right corner has state of Montana notary seal stamped to it, the notary Ed Scharnikow. with the time of 10:30 and his initials ES written below the seal. Many of the building are still standing including the Morris Bank. Much history surrounds Red Shirt including his involvement in the battle of Little Big Horn (or not) depending on various historians. Carved horse head knife measures 13 1/2", lower portion of handle has chipped away, the blade with heavy scattered surface erosion and rust. The leather belt with heavy brass unmarked buck, decorated with 29 brass spots, one missing. Holster heavily fringed as is knife sheath, the belt showing a portion of an old makers cartouche.
