Early 19th century. The first, late18th century, an ivory stylized sparrow, eyes inlaid in black. 1 1/8in (2.7cm). The second, c.1850, a wood pigeon carved from a variety of red sandalwood which becomes black with age. 2 3/4in (7cm). Provenance: The first, Sotheby's, New York.
