The first, mid 19th century, ivory figure of Kakkyo digging up the pot of gold while being watched by his wife and infant son. 1 1/4in (3.2cm). The second, early 19th century, in marine ivory, Kato no Kiyomasa sitting astride an Oni and holding it by its horns, the Oni being a substitute for the Tiger that he supposedly slew during one of his Korean campaigns. 2in (5.1cm). The third, mid 19th century, a wood figure of Saigyo Hoshi, a 12th Century poet, shown seated in front of Fujiyama in contemplation. 1 1/4in (3.1cm). Provenance: The first, Purchased from R.
