Footnote:- In an extract titled "Notes on the early History of the Parish of Blithfield", the Reverend Douglas J. Murray, Rector of Blithfield 1879-1919 remarked "the seven lamps which burn before the Thames were obtained from Venice in the late 19th century, the larger one had been obtained from a church in that city"
