A gilt brass hall lantern crested by three rococo brackets hiding the chain suspension hook and above a gadrooned bun shape that supports the five light candelabra within the glazed canted square sectioned sides of the lantern and the lantern itself by means of pairs of garrya engraved down curved straps meeting the corners applied with busts of ladies, the serpentine topped sides hung with laurel swags below central anthemion motifs, 109cm high. Ex Loxley Park, Staffordshire and by descent through the Kynnersley family. The present house was partly rebuilt in 1797. The Loxley name has associations with Robin Hood who is reputed to have been born and married there. Refer to department Refer to Department
