A finely handcrafted 12 gauge double barrel shotgun by Zoli & Rizzini showing 28" barrels 45-1/2" overall low rise hand filed rib, single trigger, auto ejector, English style straight stock, checkered butt serial #6390.See Lot 226 this catalogue for consecutive number. The barrel is inscribed "to Slim from Paul". Paul Henri was an ambassador from Costa Rica and a champion shooter who sold his arms collection to his close friendRobert Petersen. The action is nicely engraved in scrolls with chiseled back to the action and pierced lever. The stock is nicely checkered and a medium color European walnut. Stock measures 14-3/4" from thetrigger to the end of the checkered wood butt. The gun is choked cyl right and improved cyl left. The condition is fine to excellent showing just light use. 98-99%. A fine and expensive shotgun showing mastercraftsmanship not to be confused with cheaper cousins by Zoli. Paul Henri was one of the premier gun men of his time and knew high quality arms which he special ordered from the world's best makers. Robert E. Petersen
