<B>Beautiful French 19th Century Three Volume Set on Mollusks With Hand Colored Illustrations</B></I>. A fine three volume set of <B><I>Magasin de Zoologie</B></I></B></I>, with issues from 1830 to 1842, edited by Father F. E. Guérin-Méneville, published in Paris by Arthus Bertrand, volume one with 40 plates, each preceded by a description in French; volume two with 100 plates preceded by a description in French; and volume three with 119 plates with descriptions in French, each uniformly bound in quarter leather bindings with marbled boards, five compartments between four raised spine bands, gilt spine titles and rules, marbled endpapers, 8vo (5.25” x 8.25”), hinges just starting, shelf wear to boards, corners worn and slightly bumped, some light foxing to contents, former owner’s bookplate on the front pastedown of each volume, else very good condition.
