A fine American carved folk-art cane, which has a shaft of a two-pronged antler supported by a shaft of a sapling with an offshoot supporting it in two places. Cross-hatched banded decoration below the initials P C C, representing Paul Casey, one of the premier American carvers, early to mid 20th Century. In the center of the shaft, there is a large globe the size of a baseball with the various continents and bodies of water delineated, all of one piece with the shaft. Below the globe is a snake with detailed body climbing the shaft. In the lexicon of symbols from which he drew, this represents the evil of which the world always must be wary. His canes are highly collectable in American South and world-wide. Handle is 4.75" wide, L: 39.25 in./1 Meter. View Item Est. - $2500-$3500
