1 Large medium 20th century SAMOTH pottery fish button. Over the years we have sold several of these whimsical and distinctly different ceramic buttons from the Samoth pottery company in California in the mid 20th century. These buttons have become quite popular in recent years and perhaps because there is little known about them despite extensive research. This is an example we have never see another like. The beautiful burgundy colored glazed fish is accented with a green glazed eye and set with what appears to be 3 opalescent glass jewel like cabochon shaped stones. A beautiful and scarce example.

Issued: DIVISION 1=PRE 1918 AND DIVISION 3 IS AFTER 1918
Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4". Large=1 1/4" and above, extra large=1 3/4" and above

Condition: These antique buttons may show age-related wear, and while notable condition issues are disclosed, buyers should expect vintage characteristics. We do not re-card buttons, so cannot guarantee the condition of backs or shanks on multi-button cards; additional condition reports are available upon request.
