1 Large very early 18th century pictorial over blue foil example. This type of button was mostly likely created as early as 1720 and is a reverse gold painted scene of a fisherman. The gold reverse painted scene is set of over a vibrant cobalt blue foil background. Set with a beautiful copper rim and tin back. Pictorials from this early 18th century period are far less common than the reverse painted striped examples one might encounter.
