A division one transfer on porcelain button
1 Medium 19th century RARE "Liverpool" transfer colored Butterfly. The name given to these buttons was given by button collectors because the style of work was similar to that of work that was produced in Liverpool England, however they were most likely made in France in the late 19th century. The typical work found is of heads on white porcelain or colored backgrounds. Bruce says he has never seen this beautiful and colorful example before, although he has seen the design but not in color. This is a rare example for those who love "Liverpool" transfer buttons and/or Butterfly Buttons. And also for those who love Ceramic buttons or simply Buttons in general. Really great example.
