A division one scene under glass button
1 Large 18th century colorful tavern scene button. We find this incredible button to be quite a beautiful example of art work from the 18th century. The glass is painted underneath in a gouache style painting depicting 4 gentleman having a little bit of the bubbly in a tavern scene. The colors have retained their extremely vibrant and colorful design over the past couple of hundred years, as well as the finely maintained ornate brass setting with its beautiful and most unusual border, along with a wonderful condition tin back. A truly fine example of 18th century craftsmanship.
