A division one pictorial porcelain button
1 Large 19th century silver deposit/resist button. Here is a striking example of hand painted porcelain from the 19th century of a winged cherub. Nice detail and coloration. The button is framed in actual engraved silver and is done in the silver resist technique. Notice the silver line on the back, that line is connected to the silver on the front and if pulled off would pull the silver off the front. These are not plentiful so if you have been looking for one now is your opportunity to own one of these scarce examples.
