1 Large late 18th early 19th century cobalt enamel example. Bruce told us he has never seen this button before. The striking cobalt blue enamel is enhanced with the gold gilt metal design protruding through the enamel. The center is designed with the depiction of 4 EAGLE heads and the entire design is framed by a brilliant paste border. A gorgeous example of fine design and craftsmanship. From the collection of the late Dorothy Peterson of Virginia and a member of the Martha Washington Button Club.

Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4". Large=1 1/4" and above, extra large=1 3/4" and above
