1 Large 18th century En Grisaille Tussie Mussie designed example. Some call this design a Cornucopia and some call them a Tussie Mussie. The fact is the Cornucopia is the holder that contains the floral bouquet known as a Tussie Mussie. This stunning 18th century example was crafted by hand in the En Grisaille enameling technique and is done over a striking cobalt blue base and set in metal. This is a rare example to find. It does have a small nick and a line in the enamel at 12 o'clock that is barely seen by the naked eye and is completely stable, but its rarity and beauty outweigh this issue in our opinion, but we have addjusted the estimate in consideration of this issue. Keep in mind it is a vaery rare example to find and more beautiful in perosn than we could capture in the image. From the collection of the late Dorothy Peterson of Virginia and a member of the Martha Washington Button Club.
