1 Large 19th century brass-cut steel-pearl button. This great button is one of three designs made like this that we know of. There is a Horse and rider, a Long legged bird and this floral. We have sold the other examples in our auction from the collection of the late Shirley Case and now this final example is up for sale. The base is carved and pierced openwork pearl which is capped over with a brass and silvered brass layer and applied and held it the pierced delicate pearl by means of cut steels and bordered with a cut steel border. The detailed and design are exquisitely done and in fine condition.
