A division one 3 material copper button
1 Medium size 18th C. tooled copper with pearl and glass center. Here is a lovely example from the collection of Harry Case of Missouri. This medium size example boasts a large slightly domed smokey pearl center set with a amber colored faceted paste in the center of the pearl. The base is gilded copper and the hammered outside border sets off the three twist rope inner borders that frame the pearl so nicely. As we have stated before, medium size and small six=ze 18th century examples are scarcer than the large size examples.
